The annual Edinburgh Parkinson’s Lecture is a flagship event for the Parkinson’s community to learn about progress in the fight against the disease. I am delighted to say that this year, for the first time since 2019, the Lecture will be delivered live at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. 150 socially distanced places are available for a live audience in the 300-seat auditorium. The Lecture will also be streamed live to an online audience.
This event is open to LIVE and ONLINE participation, this is the online link:

The University of Dundee is the second site in the UK to host a Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) system. This is sometimes more simply called a magnetically guided ultrasound scanner. This scanner will be at the heart of the proposed new Experimental Therapy Centre, for Parkinson’s and Related Disorders based within NHS Tayside. This technology will be at the forefront of clinical trials aimed at accurately treating individuals with disabling tremor and may also benefit people with Parkinson’s in the future.
The Edinburgh Parkinson’s Research Group (ERIG) has invited all the Scottish RIGs to an online talk by Prof. Miratul Muqit from the University of Dundee. The event will start at 10:30 on Saturday 22nd January 2022.
Prof. Muqit will be introduced by Brendan Hawdon from DRIG.
