Agreed to postpone the Focussed Ultrasound event as the autumn programme of on line RIG events is very busy.

Liz Nash has created a very useful Google doc to record all of the RIG events that are in the planning and allow us to better coordinate between groups.

In planning events we must be sure that our speakers are able to open up their topic to the non science trained PwPs and carers who may be listening to ensure that they can fully follow the topic and gain from the speakers expertise.

Dundee University delighted to have raised £37,000 during the June 30 day challenge events

Planning for a joint event with the North of Scotland Parkinson's RIG (NoSPRIG) on the new Focussed Ultrasound Equipment at Dundee

In general we agreed that working in a more coordinated way with all the Scottish RIGs would be very useful, especially while all our events are still on line we should aim to compliment each other with our choices of speakers etc.

Marc gave an update on PD Avengers, he is going to head the research arm, with support from Brendan.

The SC was pleased to record the creation of a new international group - Digital Parkinsons which will work on many of the issues raised in DRIG's series of PD and Technology events.

On a glossary for PD, it seems the RIGs have already created one so JG was tasked to add this to the website along with other updates.

The South East of England RIG may have a joint project for us to be involved in.

Dundee University is planning a fundraising month in June - the 30 day challenge, all the details in the minutes

The SC discussed the successful second PD and Technology Event and finalised the preparation of the third and final technology event. 

For future events we are looking at something on PD and the gut, possibly the research being done on the probiotic Symprove.

Agreed some form of PD Glossary would be a useful addition to the website.

Also considered the development of PD Avengers in Scotland.

The Steering Committee agreed the last minute preparations for the first in our series of three events addressing Parkinson's and Technology, on Jan 23rd.  Consideration was given to suggested speakers for the second event due to take place on Feb 27th.

More thought was given on how to involve scientists on the website - Andy is hoping to pursue this by asking for lay-friendly summaries of any new publications made by the members of the Dundee lab.
