Dear Dundee RIG members,
More than 800 people watched the first live online Edinburgh Parkinson’s Lecture on 6th October. 60% of the audience were people affected by Parkinson’s and £1100 was raised for Parkinson’s research. Thank you from the Edinburgh Group to all those who watched and donated.

I’m a research scientist based in the Division of Cell Signalling and Immunology in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee. I’m interested in the links between our immune system and neurodegenerative disease.

Last week I met a fascinating group of committed individuals working together to address their future relationship with Parkinson’s Disease (PD): powerful people with Parkinson’s (PwP) raising money, organizing really relevant information meetings for PwP; loving partners of people with Parkinson’s learning more about how to support them; and talented scientists breaking down the barriers to understanding how this disease works.
