Camille Carroll, Professor of Clinical Neuroscience at Newcastle University and Honorary Consultant Neurologist in Plymouth, where she led the clinical Parkinson’s service to 3 national awards.

This year’s Lecture will take place on the evening of Wednesday 20th September before a live audience at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and will also be streamed live online. This year’s Lecturer is Camille Carroll, Professor of Clinical Neuroscience at Newcastle University and Honorary Consultant Neurologist in Plymouth, where she led the clinical Parkinson’s service to 3 national awards.

 

The title of Prof Carroll’s Lecture is: Learning to Listen – a patient-centred approach to Parkinson’s care and research.

 

There will be a reception before the Lecture where you can visit a variety of display stands:

StrydAR Glasses designed to help improve the posture, balance and walking of People with Parkinson’s.

Roslin-based Axol Bioscience will showcase their human induced pluripotential stem cells that are being used to support drug discovery and new therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.

Stands showing current research into Parkinson’s, the work of Parkinson’s UK Scotland and the Scottish Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network, as well as activities run by the Edinburgh Parkinson’s Branch for People with Parkinson’s.
