Location University of Dundee; School of Life Sciences,
Dow St, Dundee DD1 5EH
Our second event 2019 will again be done jointly together with the University of Dundee.
It evolved from a workshop with members of DRIG as part of a separate Dundee project between artist Daksha Patel and the MRC PPU Lab of the University of Dundee. It is linked to an exhibition by Daksha Patel at the DCA featuring work connected to Parkinson’s research at the MRC-PPU.
During this event we will discuss how and why producing art can be beneficial for people with Parkinson’s. After this initial session we will concentrate on a specific method, developed by the artist Daksha Patel: Rhythmic Marks.
The last session will be a podium discussion with participation of professionals, artists and patients.
This event is open to anybody interested in Parkinson’s and its treatment.
Participation is free but registration is necessary as the number of participants is limited
